Description

Professional IT services for NASA's gsfc code 580 for research, development, analysis, and programming support in the area of secure credential validation and attribute management for first responders. The objective of this requirement is for the contractor to work closely with NASA gsfc and DHS s & t personnel to rapidly develop and pilot test a secure credential validation and attribute management capability for first responders. The contracted effort will take a multi-phased approach to perform work, and mitigate risk over the course of the one year program. The work effort will include building a data model based on first responder attributes to ensure usability by the first responder community, interoperability across multiple categories of responders, and consistency in access protocols with similar first responder credentialing efforts. The data model will connect with a set of directory services designed to allow the pilot to scale in terms of numbers of users, additional credentials, and additional uses (including location tracking). Provide for system security and data privacy in a manner that builds user confidence and complies with OMB, NIST, and DHS requirements. At the conclusion of this effort, NASA will have an extensible, working prototype for first responder credentialing and access, and an evaluation that will offer next steps to advance program research in order to achieve a viable and deployable capability.
