The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, transportation and materials required to remove existing roofing materials such as asphalt shingle roofing, felt underlayment, metal fasteners, old caulking, foam fillers, rubber boots, debris etc. Contractor will install new asphalt shingle roofing, 100% ice & water shield or underlayment, step flashing, rubber boots, metal fasteners, caulking, single membrane patching etc. All work to be performed by tradesman certified to work and licensed by the state of Alaska. Contractor must possess a current State of Alaska general contractor's license. Contractor must be IAW SOW. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered.GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: The government will supply all roofing materials noted in the SOW Government Furnished Materials Section. The contractor shall inventory all materials and assure that all government furnished materials are accounted; anything not available in the government furnished materials shall be supplied by the contractor. The contractor shall notify the government of any missing, damaged, or inadequate supplies prior to beginning work at the facility.Performance Period is 14-30 days. Work to be performed June- July 31, 2012.SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: Provide submittals a minimum of twenty-one (21) days before start of work, submit tee (3) copies of the landscape preservation plan, demolition plan and debris removal procedures, adverse weather procedures and policies, and safety plan Per Submittals Requirements Section of SOW. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the Government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations, federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to water, air, and noise pollution.ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY April 19, 2012.A SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD May 2, 2012, APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS BEFORE QUOTE IS DUE. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.) Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Base Support Unit, Kodiak, Alaska.
