About this award

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Eglin Air Force Base awarded a $827.08 million firm fixed-price definitive contract to Lockheed Martin Corporation for production of Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) Lots 17 and 18 on March 31, 2020, with ultimate completion by June 30, 2026.

No set-aside was used. Place of performance is Sand Lake, Florida. The JASSM program, a Major Defense Acquisition Program, develops and produces long-range, conventional, air-launched cruise missile systems designed to destroy high-value, well-defended fixed and relocatable targets from standoff range. The program encompasses the baseline JASSM variant, an Extended Range (ER) version, and the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) derivative.

Lockheed Martin Aerostructures, the contracting entity, maintains a dominant position across Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's portfolio, with 320 awards totaling $68.7 billion chiefly for JASSM and LRASM production and development. The subcontract team includes Thomas Instrument (aft closure assembly retaining ring components), Kaman Precision Products (fuzes), Wyman-Gordon Forgings (warhead case forgings), Klune Industries (bonded tail and elevon assemblies), and Chemring Energetic Devices (energetic devices and ordnance products), supported by suppliers of gases, mechanical services, and specialized electronic components.
