Added: Jul 30, 2010 8:17 am This requirement is a re-sturcting from solicitation DERP75SW103086that was cancelled on 07/29/2010. The U.S. Department of Energy, Southwestern Power Administration (Southwestern) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to construct one new microwave radio communication site, two microwave radio tower replacements, and one electrical building/generator installation on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Southwesterns Radio Sites at the following locations: Bennington, OK; Hardy, AR; Stockton, MO; and Liberty, MO. Work generally consists of, but is not limited to, the addition of new self-supporting microwave towers, foundations and accessories with antennas and feed lines; the addition of new radio/generator building and foundations; the installation of standby generator sets and accessories; the installation of new LP tanks and piping; the addition of secondary power service to the new radio/generator buildings; the removal and relocation/stacking of existing guyed radio towers; and the removal and disposal of existing radio buildings and associated equipment and materials. All work shall be in accordance with both the general specifications, site specific statements of work, and site plans/drawings incorporated in the solicitation package. In accordance with FAR 19.10, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, this project is Unrestricted. However, Small Businesses are not precluded from participating and are encouraged to submit a proposal. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 237130 and the small business size standard is $31 million. The magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Contractor registration in the Governments Central Contractor Registry (CCR) is required in order to be eligible for contract award. Registration may be completed and information regarding the registration process may be obtained at http://www.ccr.gov. The estimated release date for the solicitation package is on or about August 17, 2010 with proposals being due on or about September 17, 2010. Once issued, solicitation documents will be available electronically for download.
