Added: Mar 15, 2010 3:10 pm THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. Recovery Ramona Bridge aka 25 Mile Creek Bridge Construction The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement for installation of one (1) Government Furnished pre-fabricated steel girder bridge 55 in length 21+/- 6 clear width between curbs. The bridge will be delivered in sections to a site within 20 miles north of Chelan, Washington. The bridge includes the steel superstructure with corrugated steel deck attached, precast concrete sills, backwalls, and object markers with post. Work shall consist of the following: remove and dispose of existing treated timber bridge with concrete abutments; unloading bridge and components from delivery truck, transporting all bridge components to the construction site and installing bridge and components as shown on plans and as provided in the Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (FSSS); construct approaches; construct asphalt surface on approaches and bridge deck. Contractor to maintain a set of As-Built drawings during construction to be furnished to the COR at the completion of the project. The timeframe for delivery and installation of the bridges is between August 1 and September 30, 2010. The COR will coordinate delivery of the bridge with the bridge manufacturer and the installation contractor, who will be responsible for unloading the bridge at the delivery site. Site to be within 4 miles of project site. Contractor shall furnish all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, supervision and transportation to complete the project on time and within schedule in compliance with specifications. Award will be made in sufficient time for planning and preparation with on-site work to start on or about August 1, 2010. The construction period of performance is 60 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed . A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated requiring submission of both past performance and a price proposal. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government. The estimated construction range of magnitude for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.00. This acquisition is determined to be under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and posted for full and open competition. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). No hard copies of the solicitation and applicable amendments will be mailed or issued.
