GENERAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION: JIM CREEK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT: (Take care NOT to confuse this project with the Keno Creek Bridge Replacement concurrently advertised as both are similar.) The project involves the removal of an existing treated timber bridge and construction of a new 60 span bridge with a pre-stressed concrete trideck beam superstructure on a precast concrete grade beam foundation. The bridge project is located on Forest Service Road No. 633 at mile post 10.4 on the Bonners Ferry Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests in Boundary County, Idaho. Refer to the location map on the title sheet of the drawings. The project work includes, but not limited to; removal of existing treated timber bridge structure, minor clearing and grubbing, structural excavation, placement of riprap, furnish and installation of precast concrete grade beams and wingwalls, furnish and installation of precast prestressed concrete trideck beams, excavation and embankment, crushed aggregate surfacing, minor equipment rental work, minor stream diversion, soil erosion and pollution control, contractor construction quality control and associated minor work items. The estimated start work date on-the-ground for the project is August 25, 2010 to allow time for submittals and bridge order. The window for on-site construction work starts July 15th ending October 30th, 2011. The price range for this project is: $100,000 - $250,000 As this is a Construction project a 20 percent bid guarantee is required.and upon award performance and payment bonds equaling 100 percent of the contract award price will be required within 10 days of award. PROJECT LOCATION: The project can be accessed by traveling approximately 16 miles west from Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Travel west on Riverside Ave, ( Downtown Bonners Ferry ) along the Kootenai River approximately 5 miles to the Westside County Road, stay to the right, travel 1.5 miles on the Westside Rd. will turn left onto Forest Service Road # 633 ( Myrtle Creek Road ) travel 10 miles on F.S. Road #633 to the Jim Creek Bridge site. This project site is on the Bonners Ferry Ranger District in Section 15, R2W, T62N, Boundary County Idaho. SOLICITATION INFORMATION: The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps (FBO) website on or about June 30, 2010 for viewing and printing. Potential responders are requested to obtain the solicitation, including plans/drawings from the Internet FBO site. No hard-copy solicitations will be issued.. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date which will occur the date when the actual solicitation is posted on FBO which is projected to be on or about June 30, 2010. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted notices of synopses such as this, you will be automatically notified via email of the posting of the actual solicitation and any changes to the project such as amendments you may be required to acknowledge. To register, select Register to Receive Notification and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. INTERESTED VENDORS LIST: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) sometimes referred to as he Plan Holder List. Access the IVL for all projects tough the FedBizOpps website where you are now. To register as an interested vendor, select Register as an Interested Vendor and follow the steps. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest besides this particular one. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting View List of Interested Vendors for EACH project. IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive a contract award and in some cases to even be eligible to be responsive to the solicitation, Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) databases.
