The Department of the Interior National Park Service National Office awarded a $8.6 million firm fixed price definitive contract to John C. Grimberg Co., Inc. for the rehabilitation of the Antietam Visitor Center located in Sharpsburg, Maryland. The contract is being carried out through July 2023 to fulfill requirements originally solicited through a competitive proposal seeking rehabilitation and construction services at the visitor center. Work will involve hazardous material abatement, ADA compliance upgrades, and replacement of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to modernize the existing facility. There was no set-aside designation for this requirement to rehabilitate the Antietam Visitor Center, which supports the National Park Service's mission to preserve and provide access to historical sites and educate the public.
