The Coastal Resources Management Council (CRMC) was awarded a $608,722 firm fixed price contract by the Department of the Interior Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) to conduct a structural monitoring project for the Block Island Wind Farm (BIWF). As the State of Rhode Island's chief permitting authority for the BIWF and holder of the necessary legal authority through an existing permit, CRMC will install structural monitors on the wind farm structures to collect data to support the development of design standards for wind turbine structures. The 24-month period of performance is expected to be completed by July 2023. No set-aside designation was used for this sole source award to CRMC, which was identified as uniquely qualified in BSEE's original solicitation due to its legal permitting authority for the BIWF.
