The Department of Agriculture Forest Service awarded a $39,350 definitive contract to Shears Electric, LLC on August 25, 2026, under a total small business set-aside, for electrical rehabilitation and disconnect work at the Salmon River Seed Orchard Pump Station in Lucile, Idaho.
The work includes relocating overhead electrical power to underground service, installing a new 400-ampere, 480-volt, 3-phase fused disconnect switch, removing and replacing motor control panels with associated wiring and fuses, and installing approximately 65 feet of 4-inch schedule 40 PVC conduit underground. The scope coordinates with Idaho County Light and Power for the overhead-to-underground transition and requires compliance with the National Electrical Code, International Building Codes, National Electrical Safety Code, and OSHA standards.
