Description

The national technology transfer center (nttc) promotes technology infusion by creating awareness oftechnologies and areas of expertise developed in the NASA sblrjsttr program, and elsewhere within the agency, and is extensible to other federal agencies. Focus areas include the needs of small and emerging businesses and providing innovative partnership opportunities for the NASA innovative partnerships program office (ippo). This proposal to NASA headquarters for continued operations of the nttc outlines initiatives which have and will utilize the nttc's experience and core capabilities to create and facilitate partnership opportunities by coordinating and leveraging NASA's ippo assets. The proposal discusses two interrelated types of activities, those outlined in the small business innovative partnerships (sblp) program and those activities generally categorized as traditional technology transfer services. The sblp program was created in collaboration with the NASA sblr program executive. The program affords the nttc the opportunity to leverage demonstrated success with NASA; expand its base of feebased clients; and achieve one ofthe nttc's primary goals of self-sustainability. The nttc's current programs and services are in alignment with the nttc's strategic plan and with NASA's ippo needs. The nttc will coordinate with NASA's ippo to ensure the continued alignment of the proposed programs and services. The nttc program strategy was created in collaboration with the NASA IPP program. Continued alignment should afford the nttc the opportunity to leverage demonstrated success with the current ongoing NASA collaborative efforts.
