THESE HAVE INCLUDED A SEVERE AND PROLONGED DROUGHT, BARK BEETLE ATTACK, DWARF MISTLETOE INFECTION, AND OVERSTOCKED CONDITIONS. THIS CONTRACT ADDRESSES SEVERAL FACETS OF FOREST MANAGEMENT, INCLUDING THINNING OF PONDEROSA PINE FOREST TO ENHANCE TREE VIGOR AND RESTORE THE STAND TO A MORE PARK-LIKE CONDITION, AND REMOVING DEAD OR DYING, BEETLE-INFESTED OR UNHEALTHY INDIVIDUAL TREES.
