NEEMO SEA TEST THE OBJECTIVE OF THE JOINT UNDERWATER MISSIONS IS TO CONTINUE TO UTILIZE THE AQUARIUS REEF BASE (ARB) HABITAT AS AN ANALOG FOR SPACEFLIGHT AND LONG-DURATION SPACE HABITATION TO SUPPORT THE NASA EXTREME ENVIRONMENT AND MISSION OPERATIONS (NEEMO) ANALOG MISSIONS. NASA AND OTHER PARTNERS WILL WORK TOGETHER WITH THE FIU TO ACCOMPLISH THESE MISSIONS. DURING A MISSION, CREWMEMBERS AND RESEARCH PERSONNEL CONDUCT EXPERIMENTS, DEVELOP AND REFINE STRATEGIES AND PROTOCOLS, AND LEARN MORE ABOUT BOTH THE EXPECTED AND UNEXPECTED CHALLENGES OF SPACEFLIGHT. TASK: PROVIDE USE OF ALL FACILITIES AND ASSOCIATED SUPPORT SERVICES FOR MISSION PREPARATION AND REAL TIME SUPPORT.
