About this award
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) awarded a $2.9 million Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to the American Psychological Association (APA) to support the VA Enterprise-wide Psychology Training Accreditation program. Under this single-award BPA, the VA can issue task orders for APA to provide accreditation services, consulting, site visits, and program updates to oversee and improve the accreditation of VA psychology training programs nationwide. The contract is not set aside and allows the VA to leverage APA's expertise as the primary accrediting body for psychology programs to fulfill the agency's mission of providing comprehensive behavioral healthcare to veterans. Since May 2022, the VA has issued nine task orders under this BPA, ranging from $2,600 to $7.5 million, to cover activities such as initial applicant reviews, site visits, and standardizing contract structures for psychological services.
