Region 2 Newark Office

The Department of Housing and Urban Development, a cabinet department that administers federal housing, community-development, and urban-policy programs, has awarded a single federal contract on record. That contract was issued on February 7, 2018, to an 8(a) sole-source awardee and carried a combined potential value of seven thousand dollars, which has been fully obligated. No federal contract awards have been recorded against HUD or its descendant offices since 2018, and no recent contract opportunities are posted. HUD does not operate as a significant federal contracting vehicle; the department's primary mission and financial footprint lie in grant programs, direct housing assistance, and community-development funding rather than competitive federal procurement.
