Farmers Home Administration

The Department of Agriculture Farmers Home Administration is a sub-agency within USDA that administers federal contract procurement and grant funding to support rural development, agricultural lending, and related community infrastructure programs. The agency's contracting activity centers on acquisition of goods and services supporting its loan servicing, property management, and rural-development mission rather than substantive program delivery.

The Farmers Home Administration has issued 3,352 federal contract awards since 2007, with a combined potential value of $3.6 million and $3.4 million in obligated dollars. Recent activity shows a cadence of 416 awards in 2012, 386 in 2013, 373 in 2014, 287 in 2015, and 535 in 2016, with the most recent recorded award dated March 30, 2016. The 10-year gap between the latest award and today indicates no current active procurement activity under this agency. The 296 distinct prime contractors awarded across the portfolio indicates a highly fragmented competitive landscape with no dominant vendor concentration.

Contract activity carries exclusively commercial or noncompetitive set-asides: all 3,352 awards fall outside formal small-business set-aside designations. The pool includes one Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business award and ten small-business awards outside formal set-aside categories; the remaining 3,341 awards (100 percent) used no set-aside mechanism.

No recent federal contract opportunities are recorded against the Farmers Home Administration or its descendant offices. No grant-award or grant-opportunity activity is recorded against the agency.
