The project scope encompasses comprehensive ADA compliance upgrades including installation of new accessible parking spaces and crosswalks, truncated domes and zero-height curbs, new concrete sidewalks and paving, utility boxes at grade, concrete pads for trash dumpster collection, a new property sign with mailbox and bulletin board, and replacement of the existing sliding glass door with an ADA-accessible hinged outswing door equipped with panic hardware and sidelight. All work must comply with the TWM Architects + Planners' permit issue plans dated February 20, 2026, with any plan modifications addressed through change orders. Proposers must be qualified general contractors capable of managing construction projects and must comply with Davis-Bacon wage requirements, California prevailing wage laws, federal equal employment opportunity regulations, Section 3 compliance, and all applicable ADA requirements. Evaluation criteria include qualifications and experience (30 points), proposed approach (20 points), customer service (10 points), cost analysis and budget (10 points), references (10 points), and lowest overall price (20 points). Key deadlines include a mandatory pre-bid walk scheduled for Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM; questions and requests for interpretations due Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM through the Bonfire Procurement Portal; and proposals due Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
No incumbent contractor is noted for this procurement. The AHA anticipates awarding one or more contracts for an initial three-year term with options for two additional one-year extensions, not to exceed five years total.
