About this opportunity

The City of Fort Worth is requesting proposals for an agreement to supply parts and materials for irrigation and grounds maintenance on an as-needed basis for the Park and Recreation and Aviation Departments, with proposals due September 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM CST through the Bonfire Procurement Portal. A pre-proposal conference was held September 3, 2026; questions are due September 8, 2026 at 5:00 PM CST.

A 30% Small Business participation goal applies under City Ordinance No. 27832-08-2025. This goal may be satisfied through award to a certified SBE prime or through certified SBE subcontractors with principal places of business in Tarrant, Wise, Johnson, Parker, or Denton County. All small business certifications must be valid from City-approved agencies and submitted with the bid.

The scope encompasses 26 line items across six categories: plants and live materials; organic and inorganic bulk and bagged matter; soil conditioners; erosion control and fencing materials; chemical products including fertilizers and pesticides; and mechanical irrigation components and accessories. Vendors must complete a discount calculator with percentage discounts applied to $10,000 baseline unit prices for each line item and transfer resulting unit prices to the official Bid Table (BT-23HQ). All pricing must be firm and inclusive of trip fees and fuel charges unless otherwise specified. Prospective vendors must demonstrate a minimum of three years' experience providing parts and materials in each category for which they bid.

The initial contract term is one year with automatic renewal for up to four additional one-year periods unless either party provides 90 days' notice of non-renewal. Pricing terms are firm, FOB Destination Freight Prepaid and Allowed, with payment Net 30 Days. The vendor must maintain commercial general liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, plus $1 million professional liability per claim and aggregate. Evaluation is based on 100 total points, with preference for vendors offering multiple categories and experience supporting municipal governments, parks systems, or large-scale grounds maintenance operations. All submissions must be electronic; hard copies and email submissions are not accepted.
