Questions and Answers Meltable Fuze Plug Round #4
Question 1:
Part A - “Do you happen to know how many offerors are bidding on this?”
Part B – “The reason I ask is because I'm wondering if others have questioned the tolerance of the holes for the corrugated washer. It's VERY SMALL.....so small that many metal stampers are quick to no bid. I'm wondering if this is something that has actually been developed before, and if so, by how many?
Response:
Part A – As this is a competitive procurement, we are unable to provide any information regarding responses or other offerors.
Part B - In regard to the corrugated washer, it has not been made in the past.
Question 2:
“Section L3.2 does not instruct us to send out the past performance questionnaires to the PCO/CORs of the past contracts presented in Volume II. Consequently I am assuming we do not need to do it. But if that is the case the PP Questionnaire should not have been included as one of the solicitation attachments.”
Response:
Section L 3.2 Defines the requirement for the past performance factor. This section provides what the government is looking for in regards to evaluation of this factor. It is incumbent upon the Offerors to explain the relevance of the data they provide. Please refer to Section J of the Solicitation – Attachment 0008 – Past Performance cover letter and Questionnaire, which has been provided to assist offerors in compiling their relevant Past Performance Data under previous contracts. This questionnaire may be forwarded to relevant POC’s, and upon completion will then be used in the evaluation of your past performance history.
Question 3:
“This email is in regards to the subject line solicitation, and is to request an extension of a duration of 3 business days to Wednesday (24 May 2017) to consolidate all the Q&A responses and proposal evaluation changes, and complete the evaluation and planning of the 30,000 unit minimum monthly requirement (originally listed as 5,000 units) with several key suppliers.”
Response:
As the proposal due date has been extended previously, we are unable to accommodate further requests for extension at this time. Therefore, the Solicitation Closing Date remains unchanged at 19 May 2017, 04:00PM EST.
