Question 1) Is there a specification on the wall mount grab rails starting with Ramp C on sheet A5?

Clarification: The Contractor shall submit the wall mount grab rails during the submittal process for

COR review and approval.

Question 2) Can the steel sleeve be deleted from the scope? The reason for this would be a 2-1/2” diameter id pipe would be required which is 2-7/8” od which in turn would require a 4” hole to allow room for the grout expansion. In the 6” wall there would only be 1” of wall material remaining on each side assuming the wall is straight and wall thickness does not vary.

Clarification: Yes, the sleeve can be deleted as long as the posts are mounted solidly and plumb in the holes with the expansion grout.

Question 3) Would a mill size ¾ x 1-1/2” or a ¾ x 1-3/4 be permissible to use in lieu of the specified ¾ x

1-7/8” which would have to be custom cut from sheet which will get rather expensive?

Clarification: The Contractor shall submit proposed flat bar sizes during the submittal process for COR review and approval.

Question 4) In tandem with question #3, the flat bar at the most needs to be a ¼ x 1-1/4 to keep the cables together and no mount to the concrete is needed. With that said would the architect be open for either what I just listed or just use the same 1-1/2” schedule 40 pipe as the main posts?

Clarification: The Contractor shall submit proposed flat bar sizes during the submittal process for COR review and approval. Schedule 40 piping is not acceptable.
