QUESTION: We have been notified by CONSILIUM SAFETY that the system installed on the USNS SUPPLY is no longer supported with parts. An upgrade is recommended. Is this the direction that the Government would like to have priced?
ANSWER: No this is not the direction. WI changes will be handled via change order if required.

QUESTION:
1. PARAGRAPH 2.1.1 FIRE MAIN REDUCING ELBOW. Is the reducing elbow 8” to 6”? Is there a flanged connection? If so, are the flanges RFSO, 150 psi?
1. Note 34 references drawing 804 – 1385916 can this be provided?
1. Can pictures of all required work be taken and supplied?
ANSWER: Reducing elbow is 8” to 6”. Additionally, see attached pictures below clarifying flange connection, RFSO and psi requirement. Note (34), and question 3 are addressed as well.

PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: 3.1
TITLE: UNREP RECEIVING STATION REPAIR-DFM Rev 1 QUESTION: Paragraph 3.1 states that the work is located on the 01 level but the pictures supplied seem to be of the 02 level. Can the 01 level be verified?
ANSWER: Pictures in the WI are on the 01 Level Main deck.

PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: 7.4.1 / 7.4.1a / 7.4.2
TITLE: PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHER SYSTEM (1 YR)
QUESTION: Paragraph 7.4.1 lists 105 cylinders to be examined. Paragraph 7.4.1a identifies 35 cylinders and paragraph 7.4.2 states to replace 35 cylinders. Are these one and the same?
ANSWER: The 35 cylinders to be replaced are the General manufactured model. They cannot be serviced. Yes, they are one and the same.
7. SPECIFICATION ITEM NO.: 0607
PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: 7.3.3.a-b TITLE: INTERIOR CPC REPLACMENT 30AUG2021 Rev1 QUESTION: Paragraphs 7.3.3.a-b - please provide locations and interferences in way of the requirements of these paragraphs. If not, please provide an expected amount of interferences and expected locations for bidding purposes.
ANSWER: I will provide pictures via DodSafe, showing the location of the requirement. Note space in question is utilized for Medical Services and will need to be well protected and clean.

PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: 7.3.3.c TITLE: INTERIOR CPC REPLACMENT 30AUG2021 Rev1 QUESTION: Paragraph 7.3.3.c calls for three drains to be required. What are they required for? Where are they? What size?
ANSWER: Image and dimensions of a Standard Navy Drains see DWG 1385789 Type C 3” will be sent via Dodsafe.

PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: 7.3.6.b TITLE: INTERIOR CPC REPLACMENT 30AUG2021 Rev1 QUESTION: Paragraph 7.3.6.b calls for replacing door sills. Does this mean provide and install new door sills or reinstall removed existing door sills? If new sills are required please provide details and amounts.
ANSWER: Sills can be reused or provided by the ship

PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: Various TITLE: SSDG HMSO Refurbishment QUESTION: Paragraph 1.1 states to work in conjunction with Work Item 251 (which is overhauling of (5) Woodward governors). Paragraph 7.6 states to refurbish (5) governors. Paragraph 7.6.4 states to package and crate turbochargers, then paragraph 7.6.5 states to transport governors to an OEM repair facility. Please clarify work item. Also, in paragraph 7.1 it talks about cutting accesses to remove governors and HMSO. Is this correct ? Please advise.

TITLE: ACCOM LADDERS REFURBISH AND WEIGHT TEST
QUESTION: Please clarify the requirement to refurbish as listed in paragraph 7.5 & 7.6
1.1 ANSWER: Completely disassemble ladder, ladder platforms and treads.
1.1.1 For bidding purposes:
a. Assume four (4) electric hoists will require removal, inspection, and weight tests at 125% of reted load.
b. Assume 300 linear inches of aluminum welding is required.
c. Assume 200 Teflon bushings for feathering treads and feathering bar require replacement.
d. Assume replacement of fifty (50) 1/4-inch toggle bolts and lanyards, fifty (50) 3/8-inch toggle bolts and lanyards, (10) 1/2-inch toggle bolts and lanyards and ten (10) 1-inch toggle bolts and lanyards will require replacements.
e. Assume eight (8) each hull mounted vangs for securing lower platform will require replacement. Coordinate work with gas free work under Work Items 020 and 021.
1.2 Refurbish J-davits, outriggers, bail brackets, platforms, ladders, treads, and handrails; re-install on vessel and grease moving parts.
1.3 Refurbish securing pad eyes and bail bracket attachment points, bail bracket latches, and stanchion bolting-in areas on the side shell.
