QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS #1

The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO

NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.

QUESTION #1:

L-5 of the solicitation N3220517R4207 states “ Offerors who plan to inspect the vessel must register with MSC Norfolk NLT

20 May 2017. The solicitation N3220517R4207 was issued on 24 may 2017. Will this requirement be waved or extended to allow Contractors to participate in the scheduled ship check of the USNS Matthew Perry (TAKE-9) on 30 May 2017.

ANSWER:

Amendment 0001 added an additional ship check on the USNS MATTHEW PERRY in lieu of the USNS RICHARD E.

BYRD from 8-10 June in San Diego, CA.

QUESTION #2:

There are numerous discrepancies between the WI numbers and titles listed in the C-2 versus the same WI number and titles listed in the J-2 & J-3 documents released with the solicitation. In some cases, WI’s listed in the C-2 are not on the J-2 spreadsheet. (WI 016 for example).

Can the government supply the contractors with C-2, J-2 & J3 forms that match? Can this be electronically downloaded along with the corresponding references?

Amendment 0002 will be released to address a corrected C-2, J-2 & J-3 and will be available on FBO.

QUESTION #3:

The CD with references received from MSC for this solicitation is incomplete. The enclosed references only for work items

000-307. Because the C-2 and J-2/3 do not match, we cannot tell if the references for the 000-307 items are correct.

Can the government supply the contractors with a complete set of references either by another CD or allowing to download electronically?

The additional references not included on the first disk were put on a CD and will be mailed off the morning of 02 June 2017.

Tracking numbers will be supplied to those contractors that sent in a NDA from.
