The NAVY solicitation uses the term COMPLETE DEMOUNTABLE
POWERPLANT
to describe the item that arrives to the Engine MRO Shop
To engine MRO people we believe this to mean without Nose Cowl and
Thrust Reverser ….
Question: Can you please confirm this understanding is correct.
As defined in the Statement of Work, Section 19.0, Definitions:
Demountable Power Plant: Basic engine with Quick Engine Change (QEC) equipment installed.
The term "COMPLETE DEMOUNTABLE POWERPLANT" refers to a the item that arrives to the Engine MRO Shop and includes all EBU components, including nose cowl and nozzle.
However, the thrust reverser stays with the AC not the engine on removal.
