This document is a Questions and Answers Set 1 issued by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) for Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. OP141432, which addresses the Union Station Gateway (USG) Data Center HVAC and Power Improvement project. The scope of work encompasses upgrades to Power Distribution Units, HVAC cooling systems, electrical power distribution, lighting control systems, and associated infrastructure with modern, energy-efficient equipment designed to meet industry-standard redundancy for reliability. The project is located at One Gateway Place, Los Angeles, California (785 Vignes Street) on the second, fourth, and roof levels of the data center. A virtual pre-bid conference was conducted on June 16, 2026, with 20 attendees representing various mechanical contractors, electrical companies, and construction firms. A worksite visit is scheduled for June 17, 2026 (RSVP required), questions are due by June 25, 2026, with responses provided by July 2, 2026, and bids are due at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026.
