SOLICITATION: HQ0034-12-R-0006
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS #4
1. Regarding Attachment 5 (Price List and Scope of Work) under CLIN 0002, should the contractor add $2 million to both the Pentagon and Leased facilities for the base year and all of the option years, essentially meaning that each year will have a total of $4 million added to the unit pricing that will be multiplied by 10?
ANSWER: The contractor should identify the cost for each item on Attachment 5. After coming up with that total, the contractor will multiply the total by 10. Ten represents the estimated number of times each task will be performed in the year. The contractor should then add $2M for Pentagon and $2M for leased facilities.
2. Regarding Attachment 5 (Price List and Scope of Work) under CLIN 0002, since the first year of the contract is only seven (7) months, the monthly cost of CLIN 0002 in the first year will be significantly higher than in the option years. Since the attachment is the same for all years of the contract, please confirm that Attachment 5 should be calculated the same in the first year as would be in the option years, although the period of performance is seven (7) months and not twelve (12) months.
ANSWER: Yes, all five (5) years should be calculated by the same quantity. Ten represents the estimated number of times each task will be performed in the year.
3. Regarding Attachment 5 (Price List and Scope of Work) under CLIN 0002, items #I.5.30 and I.5.60 have an electric strike in the title, however in the description it doesn't reference an electric strike, balanced magnetic switch, or infrared motion sensor. Please confirm that those devices should be included in the pricing for those items.
ANSWER: I.5.30 and I.5.60 need a request to exit sensor, an Infrared motion sensor, electric strike and a balanced magnetic switch in addition to the items already listed.
4. Regarding Attachment 5 (Price List and Scope of Work) under CLIN 0002, items #I.6.30 and I.6.60 have a mortise lock in the title, however in the description it doesn't reference a mortise lock, balanced magnetic switch, or infrared motion sensor. Please confirm that those devices should be included in the pricing for those items.
ANSWER: I.6.60 and I.6.30 should have an electrified mortise lock, an Infrared motion sensor and a balanced magnetic switch in addition to the items already listed.
5. Reference Amendment 1, Page 2 and Attachment 5, Price List
The Revised Attachment 5 price list shows $2 million added to each of the Pentagon and Leased Facilities subtotals. The Proposed Amendment 1 has been modified with instruction to add $2 million for leased facilities and the Pentagon. Please clarify if a total $2 million or $4 million needs to be added to CLINs 0002, 1002, 2002, 3002, and 4002.
ANSWER: Attachment 5 has two columns, one for the Pentagon, and one for leased facilities. Each of these columns will have $2 million added to it.
