About this file
This document summarizes a request for proposals issued by the National Park Service for removal of contaminated soil at a former waste dump site within Yosemite National Park, California. The solicitation seeks a contractor to implement a previously developed non-time critical removal action work plan to remove approximately 15,000 tons of contaminated soil and debris, transport it to approved disposal facilities, install five groundwater monitoring wells and conduct initial groundwater monitoring, and prepare required documentation. The estimated value of the contract is between $5 million and $10 million. The work must be completed under a single firm-fixed price construction contract. The solicitation sets aside the opportunity for small businesses and requires payment and performance bonds, liability insurance, and an offer guarantee with proposals due. Proposals will be evaluated for best value with award planned for September 2023 and work to begin in 2024.
