| Description |
| Support USNORTHCOM’s Pandemic Influenza (PI) planning by drafting inputs to maintain/update a Global DOD PI Synchronization Plan (CONPLAN 3551), theater specific PI plan (CONPLAN 3591), and Regional Joint Task Force (RJTF) plans for PI. Recommend changes needed to synchronize COCOM, Military Service and DOD Agency CONPLANS. Provide recommendations for USNORTHCOM in the area of regional planning for pandemic influenza. Assist the Government in coordinating plans using the Adaptive Planning Process Effects. Provide recommendations for improving development of Concept of Operations Plans (CONPLANs) which direct operations that mitigate secondary and third order effects of a pandemic influenza. Provide onsite advice and assistance at each of the primary Defense Coordinating Officials (DCO) for Pandemic Influenza in each of five geographically separate areas (Boston, MA; Atlanta GA; Denton, TX; Denver, CO; Oakland, CA) within the continental United States, ARNORTH in San Antonio, TX ,the headquarters USNORTHCOM in Colorado Springs, CO, and Navy Region Southwest in San Diego, CA. Be prepared to support alternate DCOs, State Preparedness Liaison Officers (SPLO) and Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officers (EPLO) with recommendations on support plans for potential RJTFs assigned to assist states and metro areas with high population or with high impact in the event of a pandemic influenza outbreak. |
