About this file

This is a Waste Log form, Appendix G of Special Provisions for Contract 4689, issued by Sacramento County Construction Management and Waste Management & Recycling in support of the Rio Consumnes Correctional Center New Potable Water Tank project. The waste log is a mandatory documentation requirement for the construction project involving the design and construction of a new 350,000-gallon potable water prestressed concrete tank, site preparation, gravel access road construction, and installation of water lines and conduit connecting to the existing water treatment facility. Contractors must track and report all waste generated during the project, including disposal activities, source-separated material recycling, and mixed construction and demolition debris sorting activities. The completed waste log, accompanied by associated weight and volume tickets, must be submitted to WasteLog@SacCounty.Net or faxed to 854-9790 for review and approval before project finalization or Certificate of Occupancy can be issued.

The waste log form requires contractors to document waste diversion efforts across three categories: waste disposal activities (landfill/non-recyclable materials), source-separated material recycling activities, and mixed construction and demolition debris sorting activities completed at county-certified facilities. Contractors may alternatively submit a diversion report from a County Franchised Waste Hauler if that entity collected all waste from the jobsite. The form calculates total waste generated, total recycling tonnage, and overall diversion percentage. Submission and approval of this waste documentation is a mandatory prerequisite for project closeout, with questions or assistance available through Sacramento County Waste Management & Recycling.
