TO: HW556 Contract File FROM: Walsta Jean-Baptiste, Contract Manager SUBJECT: Former Merlin’s Custom Cleaners DC010E;

Interim Source Remediation Plan Implementation DATE: April 20, 2019

This Task Assignment authorizes HSW to oversee soil vapor extraction system installation in accordance with the approved Interim Source Removal Plan, HSW scope of work, cost estimate, bid documentation, and schedule received on April 19, 2019.

Changes to the cost estimate included adding a subcontractor handling fee to the Duke Energy and Amazon Rubber costs in accordance with Contract HW556.

HSW solicited multiple bids for applicable subcontracted services. Petrotech Southeast submitted the lowest responsive bids for remedial system installation and IDW disposal (baseline groundwater sampling). Encotech submitted the lowest responsive bid for granular activated carbon. Additional subcontracted services include the Duke Energy cost related to providing power to the remedial system. All subcontractor handling fees were calculated correctly at 10% in accordance with the contract. Costs over $50,000 dollars related to the Petrotech Southeast system installation were assessed a 7% handling fee.

The total cost related to this Task Assignment is $114,071.037 with 264 hours.

Hi Nick, I’ve worked up a budget cost for the new Duke facilities (per our site meeting) to serve power to a Remediation Station. The budget cost is $6100.00.

This would provide an open delta 3 phase service for it. 120/240, 4 wire.

Let me know if you want to proceed or have any questions.
