RE: Highlands Hammock State Park – Recreation Hall Restroom Addition Project Revised Proposal: Workscope to Design a Restroom Addition Jones Edmunds Proposal Number: 95693-329-15

Dear Ms. Miller:

Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc. is pleased to present this revised proposal to provide design services to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Bureau of Design and Construction (BDC) for the design of a restroom addition at the Highlands Hammock State Park Recreation Hall. The proposed Workscope design involves the following:

1. Provide an attached building addition with a single-occupancy unisex ADA-compliant toilet room to supplement the existing restroom facilities to remain.

2. Provide access to the building addition from within the interior of the existing building.

3. Modify the existing structure, roof, exterior and interior finishes, and fenestration to accommodate the building addition and provide an additional exit door as necessary to maintain existing building egress capacity.

4. Extend and supplement the existing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical services to accommodate the building addition as necessary.

5. Minimize modifications to the existing restroom facilities.

The proposed Workscope replaces canceled DEP Project No. 60959 and is based on discussions and email correspondence with BDC on March 24, 2015. Background information provided by

2015-11-03_PR_Workscope.doc

BDC includes a schematic concept drawing for the toilet room building addition dated March 24, 2015, that will provide the basis of design.
