About this file

This is a Mercury Affidavit document related to an HVAC Preventive Maintenance contract opportunity with the Maryland School for the Deaf. The affidavit pertains to a one-year contract beginning September 1st, 2026 and concluding June 30th, 2027, with two optional one-year renewal extensions available. The affidavit serves as a compliance certification requiring contractors to affirm their adherence to mercury-related regulations and environmental standards applicable to HVAC systems and refrigerants used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment that may contain mercury or mercury-containing components.

This document functions as a mandatory certification form that bidders must complete and submit as part of their proposal package. The affidavit ensures compliance with applicable federal and state environmental protection regulations governing the handling, use, and disposal of mercury and mercury-containing substances in HVAC equipment and materials. Contractors must certify their understanding and commitment to proper mercury management practices throughout the contract term, including during maintenance activities, equipment replacement, and waste disposal procedures associated with the Frederick campus HVAC preventive maintenance services.
