Attachment B: Security Gate Sketches - Class A & B
This attachment document provides technical sketches and specifications for Class A and Class B security gates to be utilized in the Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) fencing services procurement (RFP 26028-MST). The sketches serve as visual references for contractors bidding on comprehensive fencing services across 270+ school sites throughout Hillsborough County, Florida. These security gate designs represent standardized specifications that contractors must understand and comply with when providing new installations and maintenance services. The sketches are referenced as part of the technical specifications and scope of work documentation, which contractors must demonstrate comprehension of during proposal evaluation. Questions regarding the gate sketches and other technical specifications must be submitted by February 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM ET, with completed proposals due electronically via VendorLink by February 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM ET. The contract will begin upon School Board approval and automatically renew for up to four additional one-year periods, contingent on appropriations and contractor performance.
Contractors must demonstrate the ability to install and maintain these specified security gates as part of their fencing service offerings across multiple fence types including galvanized chain-link, vinyl-coated chain-link, vinyl privacy, wood privacy, wood post-and-rail, steel decorative, Deacero panel, and temporary fencing. All pricing must be firm and inclusive of labor, materials, equipment, and delivery, with contractors responsible for owning all required tools and equipment. Evaluation will be based on qualifications and experience (30%), specifications and scope of work understanding—including comprehension of these gate specifications—(25%), cost and best value (35%), and small business enterprise utilization (10%). Contractors must possess five years of verifiable experience with all fencing types and comply with all mandatory compliance affidavits and Jessica Lunsford Act requirements.
