About this file
This document is a Brevard County Board of County Commissioners Exempt Documents/Plan Distribution Form, which provides a legal framework for protecting sensitive documents and security plans under Florida Statutes Section 119.071. The form allows for the controlled distribution of confidential documents related to county-owned structures, including building plans, blueprints, schematic drawings, and security system information. The document outlines specific conditions under which exempt documents can be shared, such as with governmental entities, licensed architects, engineers, or contractors performing work related to county structures.
The form specifies two primary types of exempt information: building plans and security system plans. For building plans, exemption covers internal layout and structural elements of county-owned facilities, which can only be disclosed to specific entities or upon court order. Security system plans are similarly protected, encompassing records, photographs, threat assessments, emergency evacuation plans, and security training materials. The statutes mandate that recipients of such information maintain its confidential status, with limited exceptions for disclosure to property owners, governmental agencies, or through judicial proceedings.
