About this file

The document is an Exempt Documents/Plan Distribution Form issued by the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners, specifically designed to control the release of confidential documents related to county-owned structures and facilities. The form outlines a strict protocol for requesting and receiving exempt documents, which include building plans, blueprints, schematic drawings, and security system plans that depict internal layouts, structural elements, or security-related information for county-owned facilities.

The form is governed by Florida Statutes Sections 119.071(3)(b) and 119.071(3)(a), which provide legal framework for maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive governmental documents. These exemptions allow such documents to be shared only under specific circumstances, such as with other governmental entities, licensed professionals directly involved in related work, or upon court order. The recipient must provide verification of employment and identity, and sign a certification acknowledging the confidential nature of the documents. The form includes provisions for documenting the request, tracking the distribution, and ensuring that the exempt status of the information is maintained throughout the process.
