The Trail Log describes work that was apparent on the date SHOWN ON THE TRAIL LOG.

Sections of the trail that are within areas covered by a pay item shall meet all specifications for that pay item even if no work is described on the Trail Log.

Materials

915.02 Requirements. Use materials meeting the requirements of Section 961.

Construction

915.03 Clearing and Grubbing. Clear and grub in accordance with the requirements of Section 911 and as SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS.

915.05 Rock and Root Removal. Scatter the removed rocks and roots below the trailway to ensure no blockage of watercourses or creation of a windrow. Fill holes with suitable compacted material and retread the disturbed area.

915.06 Slough and Berm Removal and Excess Material. Remove berm where NOTED ON THE TRAIL LOG. Remove berm through areas where retreading is NOTED ON THE TRAIL LOG when daylight can be obtained within a distance of 2 feet from outslope edge of finished tread.

Use suitable slough and berm material within the trailway to restore the trailbed as SHOWN

Where NOTED ON THE TRAIL LOG or SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS, install geotextile fabric prior to placing borrow. Place the fabric flat on the trailbed so that it will not be visible after borrow has been placed and compacted. Overlap adjoining pieces of fabric a minimum of 24 inches.

915.09 Drainage. Restore drain dips and ditches to reestablish drainage as SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS by removing obstructions such as rocks, roots, and sticks to make ditches and culverts free draining.

Install the permanent drainage structures NOTED ON THE TRAIL LOG or temporary drainage upon completion of tread restoration work.

915.10 Stream Channel Cleaning. Clean channel of obstructions in areas NOTED ON THE TRAIL LOG. Remove debris and rocks from the stream channel and scatter outside of the side slopes of the stream channel and beyond the clearing limits.
