AG-7335-S-10-0014-0005 ATTACHMENT 34 - Q & A MAY 10, 2010
1. QUESTION: Hayes - Earthwork quantity on Hayes project plan view sheet(3) show a total of 37,625cy. The individual construction features add up to 24,650cy. Is there an error in this summary?
ANSWER: See Attachment 35 for change to Attachment 12.
2. QUESTION: Hayes - The swales on the Hayes project plan view sheet(3) show a qty of 1000cy each on sheet(3) and 500cy each on sheet (10). Which is correct? Detail B and C on sheet (3) may explain this difference but I am unable to find this detail.
ANSWER: See Attachment 35 for change to Attachment 12.
3. QUESTION: Newsom - Can solid slab sodding be substituted for mulch sod?
ANSWER: No substitutions for mulch-sod since there is an onsite source.
4. QUESTION: Hoogendoorn - Can solid slab sodding be substituted for mulch sod?
ANSWER: Slab sodding is acceptable for the Hoogendoorn property. See Attachment 36 for specifications.
5. QUESTION: Hayes - At the site visits for the Atoka and Bryan county projects it was stated that no foundation preparation would be necessary prior to placing spoil into existing flooded borrow areas can this be verified? If the spoils from the new features do not provide enough material to fill the existing borrow areas will additional features be added?
ANSWER: The prospective bidders were told that no foundation preparation would be required in areas in which the water could not be removed. In the areas that can be drained, the surface vegetation shall be removed before placing the fill.
6. QUESTION: Baker - Please confirm that the pipe structures for the Baker project have already been purchased.
ANSWER: The pipe, anti-seep collars, and water control structures have been purchased for the Baker site.
7. QUESTION: West - Please confirm that the 58 acre mowing and clearing on the West project is as needed to build the structures.
ANSWER: 58 acres of clearing will not be necessary for the West site. The only area that needs to be cleared is the work area. The contractor will not be required to remove any tree larger than 12” diameter within the work area.
8. QUESTION: Vigeant, Atoka Co. The project plan view (sheet 2) shows a quantity of 6500 cy for the GSS 1 and 2000 cy for the structure removal. The GSS 1 detail (sheet 6) shows a quantity of 4500 cy for the GSS 1 and 2000 cy for the structure removal. Please verify which sheet is correct.
ANSWER: The correct amount is 4500 CY. See Attachment 37 for detail of the change.
9. QUESTION: Increase the period of performance on Hoogendoorn, Bryan Co. It is currently scheduled for 30 days and considering the conditions at the site and the work to be done I believe more time will be necessary.
ANSWER: The period of performance for the Hoogendoorn property will remain at 30 days.
