UW Telecommunications Outlet Installation Guidelines for Wireless Access Point Mounting
• Drop Ceilings - cut ceiling tiles and deliver cabling into flush mounted 4x4 outlet box on a grid box hanger (a.k.a. tile bridge, span bar, etc.) reduced to single gang with a mud ring. No faceplate required.
• Exposed Ceilings - cabling piped out of tray to a 4x4 outlet box reduced to single gang with a mud ring. No faceplate required.
• Drywall - deliver cable into flush mounted 4x4 outlet box reduced to single gang with a mud ring. No faceplate required.
