About this file
Addendum No. 2 for RFP2025-010 is issued by the City of Kissimmee for the Haven on Vine Restoration Project, providing clarifications and responses to 69 specific questions from potential bidders. The addendum addresses technical details about the project, including utility work, construction phasing, material specifications, and contractor requirements. Key clarifications include confirmation that the city prefers to award the entire project to a single prime contractor but may award to multiple contractors depending on bid outcomes, contractor experience, and proposed schedules. The document explicitly states that smaller firms may submit bids for specific project phases, with no more than one contractor to be awarded per phase.
The addendum provides critical technical guidance for potential contractors, including confirmations about utility relocations, site availability, and specific construction requirements. Notable details include that the Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) has collaborated on design but not yet issued a permit, the city will handle overhead line relocation, and certain utility works will need to be phased to avoid service disruptions. The document also confirms various project specifications, such as the requirement for Schluter strips at tile edges, a 4-inch concrete housekeeping pad for washer/dryer stacks, and compliance with the Buy America act. Contractors are advised that the project is not tax-exempt, and they will need to coordinate with the city on various technical details, including post-construction cleaning and specific material installations.
