REVISION OF “PTO notice pages” DEFINITION IN APPENDIX G: GLOSSARY
The relevant information in this bulletin will be included in the 2020 revision of
DATA ENTRY MANUAL FOR UTILITY PATENTS.
***This bulletin is effective immediately.***
Beginning with the weekly eOG:P of July 30, 2019, the USPTO will no longer send “rulemaking” notices to the PaDaCap contractor for publication in the eOG:P. (From that point on, such notices will be published in the Federal Register only.)
The PaDaCap contractor will not be required to review the file names, titles, or contents of the notices received from the USPTO and will not be required to distinguish a “rulemaking” notice from any other kind of notice.
The PaDaCap contractor will continue to publish any notice that is sent by the USPTO for publication in the weekly eOG:P.
In the weekly Official Gazette for Patents, the Notices item on the Help Page screen is revised to remove the phrase “and rule changes” so that it is worded as shown below.
