About this file

This document is a solicitation for a 47-foot Motor LifeBoat (MLB) Service Life Extension Program (SLEP). The Coast Guard is seeking proposals to extend the service life of up to 107 MLBs over a 10-year period. Key requirements include detailed design, production of up to 20 MLBs per year, transportation, interim logistics support, and system insurance stock. Proposals are due by November 21, 2018. The contractor will be responsible for induction inspections, structural repairs, system upgrades, and verifying weight and stability parameters for each boat. The contract will have a ceiling amount and utilize firm-fixed pricing for CLIN series covering design, production, transportation, discovered items, training, and insurance stock over 10 ordering periods.
