L.2.3 VOLUME II – PRICE QUOTATION/OFFER
The Contracting Officer has determined there is a high probability of adequate price competition for this acquisition based on the prior Sources Sought posted on FedBizOpps. Upon examination of initial offers, the Contracting Of-ficer may determine there is adequate price competition and no additional price information will be requested. How-ever, if at any time during the evaluation process the Contracting Officer determines adequate price competition no longer exists; Offerors may be required to submit information to the extent necessary for the Contracting Officer to determine the reasonableness of prices.
Volume II shall contain the following:
a) SECTION B - PRICE SCHEDULE:
The Offeror shall complete Section B (Bid Schedule) of this solicitation. For each performance period, which includes a base period plus four option periods (clause 52.217-9), a unit price shall be proposed and inserted for the Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs). The extended amount for each CLIN must equal the unit price multiplied by the quantity of units.
The Government will evaluate the option contained in clause 52.217-8 by adding to the total price one half (1/2) the amount of the final year’s option price. Evaluation of this option shall not obligate the Govern-ment to exercise said option. The Offeror shall NOT include pricing for this six-month option period in their Offer sheet as pricing for this six (6) months option will be based on the final option period pricing (example option period 4).
Proposed prices shall be based on the Offeror’s own technical approach submitted in the Technical Offer (Volume III) and the Government’s Statement of Work requirements as set forth herein. Expensive and elaborate Quotations are neither required nor encouraged.
