About this file
This document contains responses to questions regarding a solicitation for infrastructure upgrades at a Department of Veterans Affairs medical center. The solicitation seeks a contractor to perform data center expansion and electrical infrastructure upgrades at multiple buildings on the Iowa City medical center campus. Key details include that work will require after-hours access in several occupied buildings due to noise and vibration impacts. The VA will provide escorts as needed and approve contractors' access to meet the 365-day period of performance, though an extension was granted via amendment. Storage containers may be used for office and storage needs. Bidders should include overtime, night, and weekend work in their pricing as required. The VA will not provide feeders for temporary power but will allow use of existing power sources.
