Audiometric booth questions
REPLY NEEDED BY:
INFORMATION NEEDED:
1. Ref drawing A104.1-Will the audiometric suites 422B, 423B and 424B be installed in depressed slabs/pits? Not using the floors and making them “low profile” may affect the lower level frequencies for testing.
2. Ref spec 13 20 00- Will the VA require: RF (EMF) Noise reduction usually level 1 60 Hz noise reduction?
3. Ref spec 13 20 00- Confirm that the panels must have a 60 minute burn time?
4. Ref spec 13 20 00- Standard height of the inside of these suites is 6’6” does the VA require this to be taller (current ADA compliance?) as the door height opening is 6’ 1 3/4”!
5. Ref drawing. A-104.1-Do you have the actual dimensions of the required audiometric suites or the rooms in which they will be installed.
6. Ref drawing A-104.1-Confirm that these suites will be double walled exam rooms with single walled control rooms!
7. Does the facility have elevators large enough to accommodate 12’ long panels?
8. Ref spec 13 20 00-Confirm how many dual outlets are required in each room pf the suites (standard offered by manufacturers 3), will they require the following rough in services for data, fire strobe lights, telephone or any special requirements to run cables?
REPLY:
Audiometric booths will be purchased and installed by the VA. This will be modified in the Equipment Schedules. The GC is only responsible to be sure adequate utility supplies are brought to the area as shown in the drawings.
