About this file

This is a Lobbyist Registration Requirement Certification form for Broward County, Florida, related to a competitive solicitation for an Artificial Intelligence-Enabled System for Employee Screening X-Ray Machines at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The certification must be submitted with the vendor's solicitation response or within three business days of the County's request, with failure to comply resulting in a nonresponsive designation. Vendors must certify either that they have not retained any lobbyists in connection with the solicitation or that any retained lobbyists have timely filed required registrations under the Broward County Lobbyist Registration Act (Sections 1-260 through 1-262, Broward County Code of Ordinances). If a vendor has retained lobbyists, the form requires disclosure of the lobbyist names, firms, phone numbers, and email addresses.

The form serves as a compliance mechanism to ensure transparency in lobbying activities related to the competitive solicitation process. Vendors must complete the certification accurately, as the County reserves the right to terminate any resulting contract for convenience if an investigation determines that a certification was erroneous, willful, or intentional on the part of the vendor. Additionally, vendors are required to notify the County promptly if they retain a lobbyist after submitting their response. The form was last updated on September 9, 2024, and requires the vendor representative's signature, printed name, title, and date of execution.
