About this file
This is a Criminal History Screening Practices Certification form required by Broward County, Florida for vendors seeking contracts valued at $100,000 or more. The certification pertains to the Transit Bus Stop ADA Improvements contract, an open-end engagement for furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to install Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant landing pads and transit amenities at bus stop sites throughout Broward County. The major work components include installation of transit amenities such as benches, trash cans, and bike racks, along with construction of required sidewalks, bus stop landing areas, and curbs in accordance with project specifications. Vendors must submit the completed certification form with their solicitation response through BPRO and receive a submission receipt by the closing date and time specified in the solicitation. The County emphasizes that all documents and information are relevant to the evaluation process and encourages vendors to provide all files at time of submittal to enable timely and comprehensive review.
Vendors must certify compliance with Section 26-125(d) of the Broward County Code of Ordinances regarding criminal history screening practices by selecting one of two options: either confirming implementation of policies precluding criminal history inquiries until an applicant is selected as a finalist and interviewed, or claiming exemption based on applicable federal, state, or local law requirements or governmental agency status. Non-compliance with these requirements constitutes material breach and may result in contract termination, debarment, or suspension proceedings. The solicitation requires County Surtax funding, County/State licensing, FTA compliance, and bonding. Vendors must submit responses electronically through BPRO, and the County will not consider submissions received through other means.

D. If Vendor fails to comply with Section 26-125(d) at any time during the contract term, Broward County may, in addition to all other available remedies, terminate the contract and Vendor may be subject to debarment or suspension proceedings consistent with the procedures in Chapter 21 of the Broward County Administrative Code.
