The Bureau of Land Management, West Desert District plans to award a firm-fixed price contract to construct a 3,100 square foot wood framed structure with concrete masonry exterior at the Little Sahara Recreation Area in Juab County, Utah. The contractor will be responsible for building construction including interior finishes, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, communications and associated site work such as installing subsurface storm water collection, new utilities including water, electrical and sewer along with a new septic system, site landscaping and a photovoltaic system. Additionally, the project includes demolishing the existing 2,800 square foot visitor center, slab, foundation and portions of the surrounding infrastructure. The period of performance is from May to December 2021. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses and Davis Bacon wage rates apply. A pre-proposal site visit will be held and the estimated value is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
