Prequalified status is effective October 1, 2026 and valid for 18 months. Prequalification must be renewed every 18 months within 60 days of expiration. Prequalified inspectors are required to attend mandatory annual training with DFCM Code Officials in May. Prequalified individuals must maintain a minimum performance rating of 4 on a 1–5 scale; ratings below 4 trigger probation or removal. Announcement of prequalified inspectors and plan reviewers occurred September 30, 2026.
