About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, specifically Veterans Integrated Service Network 8, is seeking a 6-month lease of a Siemens Cios Alpha VA30 System (or equivalent) Portable C-Arm X-Ray System with a compatible Imaging Table for the CW Bill Young VA Medical Center. The procurement is designed to support Electrophysiology (EP) and Pacemaker procedures during the renovation of the existing Cath Lab, enabling these medical procedures to continue in the Main Operating Room. The contract aims to provide a short-term medical imaging solution that ensures continuity of critical cardiac diagnostic and treatment services. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the pre-solicitation notice, interested vendors should be prepared to demonstrate compatibility, functionality, and compliance with VA medical equipment standards. The solicitation is expected to be posted on 04/02/2025, with responses due by 04/11/2025 at 14:00 Eastern Time, and the contract contact is Michael A. Shook, who can be reached at Michael.Shook@va.gov or 813-972-2000 Ext 2819.

While no specific award value or budget range is provided, the contract is for a 6-month lease period with performance located in the 33744 postal code area. The procurement requires a medical imaging system that can seamlessly integrate with existing hospital infrastructure and support ongoing EP and Pacemaker procedures. Potential vendors should note the specialized nature of the equipment, which must match or exceed the specifications of the Siemens Cios Alpha VA30 System. The short-term nature of the lease suggests a focused, project-specific approach to addressing the medical center's temporary imaging needs during facility renovations.
