About this opportunity
The Space Development Agency is soliciting proposals to provide launch services for delivering twenty-eight satellite vehicles to low Earth orbit through multiple launches. The Launch Services Contractor will be required to transport two different types of satellites from four separate vendors and distribute them evenly between two near-polar target orbits, with the first launch occurring no later than September 2022 and all satellites to be on orbit by March 2023. Proposals will be evaluated based on five factors: price, schedule, technical approach and risk, past performance, and small business participation. Questions regarding the solicitation are due by October 12, 2020 and proposals are due November 5, 2020.
There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. The NAICS code is 336414 and the PSC code is D314. The contractor will be required to perform launch services from the time of award through March 2023 to deliver the twenty-eight satellites totaling approximately 30,000 kilograms to low Earth orbits between 950 kilometers in altitude and inclinations of 80 to 89.5 degrees from a place of performance in Washington, Virginia. The total contract value was not estimated but will depend on the pricing proposed to meet all requirements.
