About this file

This attachment to a solicitation provides specifications for twenty-eight satellite vehicles to be delivered to orbit under the Space Development Agency's Tranche 0 Launch Services procurement. The contractor shall transport ten Group A and three Group B satellites for Transport Vendor 1 with masses between 172.4-180.4kg and dimensions of 87x87x115-122cm using a 15-inch adapter. Transport Vendor 2 requirements include seven Group A satellites with masses of 199±20kg and dimensions of 107x84x124cm and three Group B satellites with masses of 180±20kg and dimensions of 107x84x140cm, both using a 24-inch adapter. Additionally, the contractor shall deliver four satellites for Tracking Vendor 1 with total masses of 2975kg for two satellites or 5111kg for four satellites stacked on an ESPA ring, and four satellites for Tracking Vendor 2 each with a mass of 249±15kg and dimensions of 153.4x106.7x133.1cm attached to an ESPA Grande ring via motorized lightbands. The first launch is required by September 2022 with all satellites to be in orbit by 31 March 2023 under the solicitation from the Space Development Agency.

Group A 7 172.4+/-20 87 87 115 PSC MLB MK2, RUAG PAS 381S, or equivalent

No access requirements after SV encapsulation Fuel: Solid Indium (Inert) – will arrive at the launch facility fully fueled.

Group B 3 180.4+/-20 87 87 122 PSC MLB MK2, RUAG PAS 381S, or equivalent

No access requirements after SV encapsulation Fuel: Solid Indium (Inert) – will arrive at the launch facility fully fueled.

Transport Vendor 2

Mass (kg) x (cm) y (cm) z (cm) LV (ESPA) Adapter Interface - Lightband or other? Size (inches)

Group A 7 199+/-20 107 84 124

7.2 kg leave behind mass includes the following hardware elements, to be provided by the LSC:

1) 4x 4-Point HDRM (3.2 kg) is a device used to separate the SV from the LV

2) Adapter Plate (est 3.2 kg) used to interface the four HDRM separation devices to the 24" diameter ESPA port

3) Harness (est 0.8 kg) is a flight harness that interfaces the four HDRMs to the launch vehicle for separation commands

24" port desired (15" port requires heavier adapter plate)

No access requirements after SV encapsulation Fuel: Currently an open trade between inert and chemical propellant. Proposers shall list supported propellant types along with any associated proposal impacts. If the chosen propellant is inert, the SVs will arrive at the launch facility fully fueled. If the chosen propellant is chemical, it will need to be loaded at the Payload Processing Facility
