Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The solicitation (36C25226Q0010) requires annual preventative maintenance and cleaning of exhaust systems across 12 different buildings, including quarterly cleaning of 16 kitchen and canteen hoods, bi-annual cleaning of dental hoods, and cleaning of approximately 28-40 clothes dryer vents. Contractors must hold current IKECA (International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association) certification for hood cleaning personnel, though CDET certification is not required for dryer vents. The contractor must adhere to NFPA, OSHA, and manufacturer guidelines, use UL-labeled equipment, and provide detailed documentation within five days of service completion. Evaluation will consider technical capability, experience, and price, with a mandatory site visit scheduled for August 13, 2025, and quotes due by September 1, 2025, at 8:00 AM CDT.

The solicitation is designated as a small business set-aside under NAICS code 561790 with a size standard of $9 million, though no specific budget range or incumbent contractor information is provided. The contract structure includes a firm fixed-price, one-year base period with four one-year option periods, potentially running from October 5, 2025, to October 4, 2030, for a total possible five-year contract duration. The work encompasses multiple buildings across the VA Medical Center campus, with equipment including various dryer brands such as Speed Queen, Whirlpool, Maytag, GE, and others distributed across different rooms and locations. Performance will occur at the Zablocki VA Medical Center facilities, requiring the contractor to service kitchen exhaust systems in main kitchens, canteens, and CLC kitchen areas, along with clothes dryers located throughout the medical center's residential and operational spaces.
